Musings of a Mom

These are some statements from a book that really spoke to me. Being a SAHM is a very draining job, and it is nice to think about my job with an eternal perspective.

Your home really is holy ground because it's a place where God has chosen to live and do his work.

I've come to cherish the understanding that my home and my family are not only God's gifts to me, but a holy trust. They are central to God's purpose for my life - his chosen vehicles for bringing about the future. Home is a place for me to live and to leave a legacy - to build something lasting on holy ground. That reality has been a part of God's plan from the very dawn of creation.

Home matters to God...and it should matter to you. It's at the heart of who you are as a mom and as a person.

And this, I believe, is where God always starts: with who we are as women. It's where he wants to start with you in this worthy calling of shaping a home environment that honors him.

The truth is, if you want your home to be a peaceful place that you and your family long to come home to, you have to do it on purpose.

It is good to hear of a woman truely making a strong effort to find out the will of Christ in her life. you are surely a role modl to your peers as a mom and a wife. your husband is blessed to have a fortress of love to come home to and your children are privilaged to be born into sucha family. for more on how to live as a woman of god i highly recomend intensly studying ruth bersheba and mary. all three are wonderful examples of different qualities women of god should strive to posess. keep up the good work.
